While all raw cashmere fiber comes from the same dry, high altitude, snowy plains of Mongolia; Diamond Fibers is committed to the slow fashion movement. We have made a conscious decision to spin our yarns in Italy - a country with a long history of ethical business practices and sustainable wages for workers.
Knitters have participated in the slow fashion movement longer than most: a pair of hand knit socks, made with love and care for a special someone is a treat hard to duplicate with packaged socks that are a fraction of the cost. By giving knitters and crocheters the access to superior fibers to showcase their skills, Diamond Fibers aims to be part of a process that creates family heirlooms that will be treasured for generations to come.
Through the ages, cashmere has been known as the diamond of natural fibers and it's getting harder and harder to find quality cashmere on your local yarn shop's shelves. We exclaimed "This cannot be, everyone needs a little cashmere in their life!" and so Diamond Fibers Yarn was born.
